Why is Pro Plus cheaper than Home?
Office 2024 Pro Plus is a used volume license from the Microsoft Volume Licensing program – originally bought in large quantities by enterprises. These licenses are resold under the UsedSoft model (ECJ C-128/11) and are therefore cheaper than the consumer Home edition, even though they contain more apps.
Are all three editions identical in app quality?
Yes. Word in Standard is identical to Word in Pro Plus or Home. The difference lies only in app selection and licensing terms, not in the functionality of individual applications.
Can I later upgrade from Standard to Pro Plus?
A direct in-place upgrade is not possible – you would need to uninstall Standard and install Pro Plus fresh. Your documents remain intact. We therefore recommend choosing the right edition immediately.
Do I really need Access?

Do all three editions work on Windows 10?
Technically yes. However, Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on 14.10.2025. For maximum security, we recommend switching to Windows 11 Pro.
Is there Office 2024 for Mac?
