Office 2024 Standard
Microsoft Office 2024 Standard is the ideal variant for the self-employed, freelancers and small businesses that need all the essential Office programs for everyday office work — without unnecessary frills.
Included are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and Publisher — six programs that together cover the entire office routine. What is missing is Microsoft Access. Anyone working with databases should go straight for the Professional Plus edition — it costs only two euros more.
The license permits full commercial use — ideal for offices, law firms, practices or small businesses.
For just two euros more than Standard, you get Access and the full corporate license.
Office 2024 Home for Windows
Microsoft Office 2024 Home for Windows is aimed at private users, families and students. The edition contains the most important Office programs for everyday life at home or in the home office.
Included are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote — perfect for texts, letters, job applications, term papers and presentations for school and university. Access and Publisher are missing; commercial use is restricted.
Office 2024 Professional Plus
Microsoft Office 2024 Professional Plus is the most comprehensive Office edition for Windows. It contains all the classic Office programs plus exclusive tools that are missing from the other editions — at a surprisingly affordable price.
Included are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher and OneNote — seven programs. The special part: Pro Plus is the only edition with Microsoft Access — the database program for CRM systems, inventory management and customer management. Plus full license entitlement for enterprise environments.

Where do I find the installation guide?

Why is Pro Plus cheaper than Home?
Office 2024 Pro Plus is a pre-owned volume license from the Microsoft Volume Licensing program. These licenses are resold under the UsedSoft model (EuGH C-128/11) and are therefore cheaper than the consumer edition Home, even though they contain more programs.
Are all three editions identical in program quality?
Yes. Word in Standard is identical to Word in Pro Plus or Home. The difference lies only in the selection of programs and the licensing terms, not in the functionality of the individual applications.
Can I switch from Standard to Pro Plus later?
A direct in-place upgrade is not possible — you would have to uninstall Standard and reinstall Pro Plus. Your documents are preserved. We therefore recommend choosing the right edition straight away.
Do I really need Access?
Access is useful for database applications such as customer management, inventory management, CRM systems or reporting. If you are unsure: for a 2 € surcharge with Pro Plus you have it on hand if needed, without having to upgrade later.
Do all three editions work on Windows 10?
Technically yes. However, Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on 14.10.2025. For maximum security we recommend switching to Windows 11 Pro.
Is there an Office 2024 for Mac?
Yes. For Mac users we offer Office 2024 Home & Business for Mac and Standard for Mac as separate editions. The editions compared here are exclusively for Windows.
What is the difference from Microsoft 365?
Office 2024 Standard, Home and Pro Plus are perpetual licenses with a one-time payment. Microsoft 365 is a subscription with ongoing costs. More in the comparison Pro Plus vs. Microsoft 365.
Are the editions legal?
Yes. Karinex trades in pre-owned, fully exhausted volume licenses in accordance with the rulings EuGH C-128/11 “UsedSoft/Oracle” (2012) and BGH I ZR 129/08 “UsedSoft II” (2013). All licenses are original Microsoft product keys.
